How it works

Sign your child up for STEMAZING fun!

Take your pick from our choice of memberships and join our LIVE interactive sessions on the first Tuesday of every month at 5-5:30pm GMT.

Can't make it live? There's always a video tutorial available in our members' area.

Expect fun, step-by-step demonstrations developed to empower your child to create their own STEM masterpiece every time.

Less organising, more AWE!

You're busy enough without having to plan how to blow your child's mind with fun activities that will also strengthen their skills - that's our job!

At STEMAZINGKids we make it super easy for kids to get involved using things they already have at home and any templates you need easy to print, which means a quick scour of your cupboards and you're done.

Pop on the session and leave them to it as they're guided step-by-step.

Your job is to enjoy watching their wonderment unfold.

If you'd rather have the materials posted to your door, that's an option too - we really want it to be the easiest way to add a highlight to your child's month!

About STEMAZINGKids

STEMAZINGKids is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company founded by Alex Knight, a female engineer with a passion for helping spread the message that anyone willing to explore, experiment, innovate and create can succeed in STEM!

​

We want to help raise a diverse generation of scientists, tech experts and engineers. Nurturing children's natural wonderment for the world when they are young is the best way to show them that they can do STEM and that EVERYONE belongs in these industries.

Our live, online sessions are open to anyone aged 5 - 9 to learn more about the science and engineering that makes our world work and how they can make amazing things happen.

Who are the sessions suitable for?
Our STEM sessions have been developed for 5-9 year olds. However we have had younger and older children enjoying them too. In the live sessions Alex tailors her delivery to the level of the children in the audience to ensure everyone feels included. 

What happens if we can't make a live session?
No problem at all! You'll get access to a video tutorial of the session (plus all the other extras like the certificate and templates) so your child can enjoy their STEM adventure at a time that suits you.

Why are sessions only once a month?
We know children lead busy after-school lives and we want our online STEM sessions to be an exciting event to look forward to. We've found that a monthly live session is about right to add a sense of anticipation and give your child the time to keep playing with and improving their STEM creation throughout the rest of the month, or maybe repeating the session with their friends to share their love of STEM!

How long is each session?
Each session lasts 30 minutes. We have found this to be the ideal length to get creative and maintain primary aged children's engagement online.

What do I need to do before the session?
In advance of each live STEMAZINGKids session you can log on to the member's area to check out the resources needed. These are likely to be things you already have at home, so there is no significant prep needed.
If you want to make life easier still, you can add the 'STEM to Your Door' pack. With this pack, we send out all the key resources directly to your door so your child gets an exciting package in the post before the next live session.

Will I (the parent/guardian) be needed during the session?
At STEMAZINGKids, we want to empower children to do as much for themselves as possible - which is why step-by-step guidance is provided live by an experienced engineer. We do always ask that a parent or guardian is nearby for safety reasons. However, it is up to you how much support you provide. Its our intention that you can sit back, watch and marvel at your little one's capabilities and creations!
